DIY Roll-Ons, Sprays & Compresses

Materials

  • Amber glass roll-on bottles (10–30ml) with stainless steel roller balls
  • Fine-mist amber glass sprayers (30–60ml)
  • Small glass bowl for compresses
  • All tools must be clean, dry, and fragrance-free before use

Filling a Roll-On

Add carrier (aloe, magnesium solution, distilled water, or hydrosol) first, then add DMSO. Fill the bottle two-thirds full to prevent overflow. Secure the stainless steel roller ball firmly. Invert once to wet the roller mechanism. Shake lightly before each use if the blend contains aloe or oils that may separate.

Filling a Spray

Transfer the completed dilution into the glass fine-mist sprayer. Ensure the tube and nozzle are clean. Test with 1–2 pumps before use. Hold 5–10cm from skin and use a fine mist — not a direct stream.

Preparing a Compress

Pour your prepared dilution into a shallow glass dish. Soak a piece of clean, white (undyed) gauze or cotton cloth. Lightly wring out so it is damp but not dripping. Place against clean, dry skin for 5–20 minutes.

Labelling & Storage

Label each container with contents, concentration, and preparation date. Store in amber glass, away from heat and sunlight. Discard and prepare fresh if the blend becomes cloudy, discoloured, or develops an unusual odour. Most blends remain stable for several weeks in sealed glass.
